Look into your mind and use it to grow

Spring is a season of big changes in life, such as entering school, continuing to higher education, and getting a job. Many people are probably noticing various changes in themselves and their families.

Along with the excitement of a new environment, you may also feel anxious and worried. For example, if your child or grandchild is entering school, you may worry about whether they will be able to adapt to the new school or keep up with their studies. Also, if you are a new member of society, you may feel anxious about whether you will be able to keep up with work and whether your relationships at work will go well.

In this way, spring, a time of many changes, evokes a wide range of emotions in our mind. This is why this season can be said to be a great opportunity to take a good look at your own mind.

First, look back at the events you experienced during this “spring season” and recall the emotions you felt at the time. For example, even something small is fine, such as “I was happy to make new friends at the school entrance ceremony” or “I felt lonely after moving.” Then, look at the background that gave rise to those emotions. Ask yourself, “Why was I happy?” or “Why did I feel lonely?”

This is also the season when the people around you do a lot for you, so it’s a good idea to pay attention to that as well. You will realize that you are who you are today thanks to the support of the people around you, such as your family, friends, and colleagues. If you can express your gratitude, such as “I’m grateful to my family for always watching over me warmly,” or “I’m grateful to my friends for helping me when I’m in trouble,” the positive energy will be more strongly supported.

If you are feeling the strong influence of negative energy, such as anxiety or worry, there may be past experiences that are connected to your current emotions, so try to recall the specific situations in which you felt those emotions.

By introspecting while receiving Shinkiko, you may be able to see the connection between your past experiences and your current emotions. Then, when the light reaches the negative energy that was related to those experiences, you will feel your heart become lighter.

We also recommend using a diary to write down your feelings and thoughts, and sharing your reflections with trusted people or staff. Furthermore, participating in Shinkiko retreat seminar or Shinkiko lessons and deepening your learning with other members will lead to great growth.

Spring is a season of change, but it is also a chance for growth. With the help of Shinkiko, face your own heart and discover a new you.
