I went to Ueno Zoo with my almost 9-month-old son and my wife. Although my son is still crawling, I decided to go to the zoo because I thought it was time to show him the animals in the picture book. (The parents are too easy on the kid.) I’ve been to Ueno Park, but this was my first time going to the zoo, and I went there because I wanted my son to show bears, tigers, pandas, and all kinds of other animals. However, even when I point to him and say, “It’s Giraffe,” he remains curious about the ant in the handrail in front of the cage. I only pay attention to the inside of the cage for about 10 seconds. As a parent, I thought they would enjoy the animals more since they are at a zoo, but they are completely at their own pace and true to their own interests.
However, it seemed like the family was having fun walking outside, and the children were having a great time flapping their arms and legs, which made me feel relaxed. Sure, the zoo is a place to go to see animals, but for my son, it’s a place to explore the outside world.
By the time we left the zoo, he was so tired that he fell asleep. Although we may not have been able to see many animals, it must have been a very exciting and fun day.
I was reminded once again that children do not act as their parents want them to, and that this is normal, and that the important thing is to listen to their interests and have fun together.
When I think about it, my father (predecessors) was very close to my interests, and even enjoyed it himself. He played sports with me, such as baseball and skiing, and taught me how to make various parts together at work. That sparked my interest, so I went to university and joined an electronics company, and now I am able to enjoy improving and developing Ki relay devices and Ki goods as my job.
In 1986, my father had a dream of an old man with a white beard and created the Ki relay device High Genki. At that time, I had no interest in Ki at all, but he seemed to be having fun talking about his experience with Ki, without forcing himself on me, so I listened closely with interest. I did. Eventually, my health started to deteriorate, so I think it was natural for me to enter the world of Ki. Now that I have become a parent, I am reminded of the many things my parents have done for me. It’s a blessing.
I would also like to find a chance to go to the zoo with everyone so that I can enjoy some relaxing time.
