It’s been two years now, and we’ve continued it without fail, even when I had business trips for Shinkiko retreat seminar or other reasons. But yesterday, I completely forgot about it.

I have absolutely no words to express my apologies to all the viewers who always look forward to the show, and to Mr. and Mrs. Oharada who contacted various people because they didn’t hear from me. I am truly sorry.

Up until 4 PM, I clearly remembered that “today is YouTube day,” but then a series of unexpected events occurred, and while I was busy dealing with them, my memory completely blanked out. This month, I had to submit my son’s documents to the daycare center by the following Friday, and since he hadn’t had a health checkup yet, I had to rush to the clinic, and from there I was completely flustered. I must have been affected by some pretty negative energy to lose my memory so completely in just three hours.

Generally, the reasons for forgetting something include having multiple things piling up in your mind, decreased attention span due to fatigue or stress, and disruption of routines in unusual situations. Effective countermeasures include using reminders and developing the habit of writing down important tasks.

From the perspective of energy, when you lose your peace of mind, it creates an opening for negative energy to take hold, and negative events pile up. In my case, a combination of factors occurred: (1) I lost my peace of mind due to an unexpected event, (2) I was swamped with work because it was the end of the month, and (3) I didn’t even notice my smartphone ringing because it was in my bag.

In the end, by the time I realized what was happening, more than half of the live performance had already passed, so I contacted Mr. Oharada and we decided to cancel the event for the day. During the Shinkiko time at 9 PM, I started coughing uncontrollably, and just before that, my son had cut the sole of his foot and needed a bandage, so I think we were definitely affected by negative energy.

I always say that it’s important to learn from events that seem negative at first glance, and I was reminded once again of the importance of maintaining peace of mind and having systems in place to avoid missing important appointments. Needless to say, I set reminders on my computer and smartphone to prevent this from happening again. Negative energy will try to take advantage of even the slightest lapse in our judgment. I hope that everyone will make an effort to maintain a positive energy state on a daily basis and take care not to let what happened to me happen.

Every Thursday at 7:30 PM, I do a YouTube Live with journalist Mr. and Mrs. Oharada.
